Dimensional Stabilizer
Aria Add Dimensional Stabilizer is a PP-based masterbatch manufactured by Aria Polymer Company. It has been designed to act as a dimensional stability modifier and clarifying agent by changing the crystal structure, used in jumbo bag, industrial fabrics, fiber and packaging industry.
Polypropylene (PP), is a thermoplastic polymer used in a wide variety of applications such as fiber industry, piping systems, automotive, household goods and many more, because it is readily available and relatively inexpensive, very resistant to absorbing moisture, has high flexural strength, good impact strength and possesses good fatigue resistance. Nevertheless, it is susceptible to UV degradation and oxidation, highly flammable and has poor resistance to chlorinated solvents and aromatics.
In fiber industry, one of the biggest problems in manufacturing is dimensional stability and speed of drawing, so that as speed goes up fibers tear or swing (in width or thickness). In high deniers, this can be solved by adding mineral fillers like calcium carbonate, which makes good dimensional stability. It is an abundant and inexpensive mineral which provides high brightness and gloss and shorten processing time. But the presence of this additive in low deniers reduces tensile and tear strength and elongation results in the loss of fibers so manufacturers have to reduce the production speed.
Aria Add 2451 solves these problems and does not have the disadvantages of calcium carbonate. It controls the yarn’s clarity while enhancing production speed by over 80%.
Dimensional Stabilizer of Aria Polymer Pishgam Company
Aria Add 2451 is able to:
- Improve dimensional stability of fiber products (like bags and sack) especially in lower deniers.
- Provide clarity for bags without change in properties
- Improve mechanical properties such as tensile strength and modulus
