Polypropylene (PP) and Polyethylene (PE) are two of the most widely used polymers in the manufacturing of films and packaging materials. However, due to their low barrier performance against oxygen penetration, they are typically used in multilayer packaging structures. In these applications, PP or PE layers are combined with other materials to enhance overall barrier properties, and each layer is bonded using a tie layer adhesive (Film & Packaging Adhesive) to ensure proper adhesion between dissimilar materials.
